Alivea: Your Skin’s Defense Against a Brutal Winter

Extreme temperatures at both ends of the thermometer can wreak havoc on your skin. Too much sun and your skin will burn and dry out. Too little sun and you’ll lose that glow. And if you’re sun-deprived because of the bitter cold, then your skin, especially your face, will have to struggle with the cold, whipping winds of winter. NYC residents like us are no stranger to those piercing cold winds and the damage they can do to your skin.

This winter use Alivea to defend against brutal weather. Our skin cream will help you in three ways.

Moisturize

The colder the temperature the less water the air can hold. That makes for dry air and dry skin. You need a moisturizer that is powerful and has been time tested to work. All three of Alivea’s ingredients (olive oil, beeswax, and water) work to moisturize skin.

Lock-in moisture

It’s not enough to slather on cream if it evaporates before your skin can absorb its moisturizing properties. In the wintertime you need a moisturizer that is heavy and contains ingredients that will lock-in moisture. Guess what? Alivea is both a heavy moisturizer (don’t worry it won’t leave a greasy residue) that definitely will not evaporate too soon.

Barrier

The beeswax in Alivea acts as a two-way barrier. First, it locks-in that moisture to keep your skin smooth and hydrated. Second, it guards against cold air, free radicals, and other harmful elements.

As always, you need to drink plenty of water in addition to using moisturizer. It doesn’t matter what time of year, your skin still deserves love.
